Roundtable discussion at the New Haven Museum

I am honored to be included in this roundtable. Admission free and all are welcome. Hope to see some familiar faces in the crowd.

What does it mean to be a woman artist working in New Haven, both today and in the past? Join the New Haven Museum for a roundtable discussion about women in the arts in conjunction with the Museum’s exhibition Capturing Life and Beauty: Women Artists of the New Haven Paint & Clay Club, on view through July 27, 2019.

Join us as dynamic women artists explore gender, identity, history, arts activism, and community in the art world today - and examine the challenges women have faced along the way - during a lively panel discussion on women in the arts. Leading the conversation will be Tanya Phrt, guest curator of “Capturing Life and Beauty: Women Artists of the New Haven Paint and Clay Club” and Luciana McClure, artist and founding organizer of the art collective, Nasty Women Connecticut.

The panel which included Evie Lindemann, Rashmi Talpade, Dolores Gall, Alfonsina Betancourt, Junes Webster and Jennifer Rae, will address questions such as what makes the region’s arts community special, and where we need growth and change? Admission is free
